Alfie suffered renal failure before he was even a week old and was immediately put on dialysis. Doctors discovered that he had a rare genetic condition called protein C deficiency. Alfie has thrombosis in both eyes causing blindness.
Alfie loves nothing better than splashing around in warm water and so we were able to provide him with a hydrotherapy pool which he absolutely loves. His mum says going in the pool is the highlight of his day.
We were delighted to be able to fund a light weight wheelchair and a special globe chair so that Alfie can sit out in the sun in complete comfort and safety.
