The Dorset Childrens Foundation Noah enjoying a Skate Park as part of Accessible for All we book for exclusive use for our families run a range of inclusive events for disabled children and their familys such as family fun days, craft afternoons, all ability discos, soft play and sensory sessions, music therapy, swimming, cricket and yoga to name but a few. We have also set up our very own FA affiliated Football Team DCFFC!

Community is very important to The Dorset childrens Foundation. As well as funding equipment and medical expenses we want to help our families overcome isolation, increase their childs self-esteem and enable them to play a larger part in the society around them.

We want to provide the opportunity for our families to get together in a safe and inclusive environment where our children can just be kids without judgement or disapproval. Siblings and parents are encouraged to get involved so the whole family can get out and enjoy being amongst friends.

There is a lack of provision in the wider community for fun and sporting opportunities for disabled children. We are striving to change this.

Being the parent/carer of a disabled child can be a very lonely and isolating experience. Parents increasingly lose confidence to take their children out and take part in simple activities that other families may take for granted.

How you can help

We are looking for help to fund these events and provide opportunities for disabled children that they currently may not have access to.

What your money could buy:

£50 a music and dance session for 15 children

£75 would buy a swimming session for ten children complete with life guard

£100 2 hour session for 10 children at indoor skate park

£150 a 2 hour interactive bubble session

£550 a 1 to 1 yoga and rebound (trampolining) session for 8 children at a local specialist school. Not only would the children have a fabulous time but the parents could get a couple of hours to themselves

As always, 100% of every donation will go directly to the cause, in this case supporting an event.
