Ollie is 5 years old and has Down’s Syndrome with associated global low tone, poor balance and Hypermobility and limited speech and hearing. He has an ongoing need for Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy support, as this would improve his fine motor development and give him the tools to support his independence and other strategies to reduce his risk-taking behaviour. Ollie also needs support with his speech to develop his social communication. His educational team will need signing training and a complex language programme needs to be developed with particular emphasis on his hearing loss. Ollie is already benefiting from the therapy that we have implemented and his speech has measurably improved. We hope to continue to support Ollie’s various therapies through his childhood.
