J’ssiah has been a very poorly young boy, he has Paraplegia, Neuropathic bladder & bowel and has been treated with Chemotherapy and has had a bone marrow transplant all of which impacts on his ability to walk. J’ssiah is unable to use a typical bicycle but would still love to go to the park with his friends and living family.The Tom Cat tricycle is specifically designed for children with physical disabilities and provides additional support to promote mobility. This tricycle would allow J’ssiah to keep up with his siblings when playing outside. The adapted pedals allow J’ssiah to pedal with less effort enabling him to strengthen his leg muscles and propel fowards independently. It also provides him with another option of outdoor mobility and play. The use of a specialised tricycle will allow J’ssiah to enjoy a social activity and aid his development.
