21st March: New Trustee appointed
At our AGM last week Carlie Palmer was unanimously voted onto our board as a Trustee.
Carlie runs an award winning wedding entertainment business with her husband Mark ,and having been in the business community a long time has a wealth of contacts .
Carlie heads up our Christmas campaign and happily pitches in to support where she can attending events and supporting fundraisers to support the charity .
( she is always happy to make the tea too)
Carlie commented on becoming a trustee for DCF
“ I am super delighted to be joining the board of trustees for an already amazing charity , having been an ambassador for a while now I knew I could do more for the team and I hope to do the board and the children and families we support proud . I have got to know a lot of the children and parents in the last two years and this made me want to become more involved
And when I was asked to join the trustees I jumped at the chance .”
24th March: Our Trustee Dan on National News
Our Trustee Dan McEvoy was filmed today for Chanel 5 news. He was discussing how the recent price rise in utilities will severely impact families of children with disabilities .
