Event Details
In full compliance with covid-19 guidelines we are proud to be relaunching our football sessions. CLICK FOR DCF FC COVID PROTOCOL.
We have a two hour slot on a caged outdoor artificial grass pitch. We plan to split session into shorter sessions for small groups, once we know who would like to attend we will advise you of your slot.
- Toilet facilities are available.
- All equipment is sanitised using a fogging machine which kills 99.99% of all viruses.
- Each child will have their own numbered ball.
- Hand sanitiser available.
The concept and aim of the sessions will remain as before based on fun, inclusion and participation. Inevitably some changes will be incorporated to account for distancing and minimal contact will equipment. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL by emailing Emily@thedcf.org.
The DCF FC have recently won The Inclusion and Equality Award from Dorset FA and The National McDonalds Award For Project Of The Year.
Our football session are very relaxed. Although there maybe some games going on we have lots of children who just enjoy running around and doing there own thing. There’s no pressure to do anything they don’t want to.
We post information about our sessions on The Dorset Children’s Foundation Football FB page so please join.
The Sunday football sessions are aimed at being fully inclusive. Our motto is ‘Fun, Friendly, Flexible’.
We aim to accommodate wheelchairs – and of course any other physical barriers; we have wheelchair footballs and we adapt the activities so that wheelchair users can join in so that all children are taking part together
We encourage children to come along and take it at their own pace. Sit on the sidelines and watch for your first couple of sessions, or kick a ball against the wall with your parent if you like.
There is no pressure to join in or to achieve any pre determined level of skill.
Session open to all under 16
Siblings are welcome
You DO NOT need to be able to kick a ball, nor have any particular interest in football!
You’ll be surprised how much fun you can have just playing games with your kids in a safe, welcoming and friendly environment.
We are now introducing a charge of £2 per family to keep this event viable.
We hope that answers any concerns but feel free to contact Emily on Emily@thedcf.org
